: Mandiant stock rallies more than 20% after report of Google interest

Mandiant Inc. MNDT shares rallied Monday and were halted following reports that the cybersecurity company is also in talks with Google parent Alphabet Inc. GOOGGOOGL over a possible deal, raising the possibility of a bidding war. Mandiant shares rallied more than 20% after being paused at least once following a report from The Information of Alphabet’s interest. In early February, Bloomberg News said Microsoft Corp. MSFT was talking to Mandiant over a possible deal, citing sources close to the matter, noting that discussions may not result in a deal.
