Putin advisor Anatoly Chubais quits and leaves Russia over Ukraine invasion: reports
Anatoly Chubais has become one of the highest-ranking Russian officials to leave his post over President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine that began roughly a month ago, various media outlets reported on Wednesday. Citing two sources, Bloomberg reported that the climate envoy known as a reformer in the 1990s who steered the country’s privatization, had left the country. Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed the exit to the Financial Times, but provided no details. “Whether he left or not is his personal matter,” Peskov said.
