Facebook parent company Meta Platforms to change ticker symbol to META on June 9

Meta Platforms Inc. on Tuesday said its shares will begin trading under the ticker symbol META on Nasdaq beginning June 9. The company’s current ticker symbol, FB, has been used since its initial public offering in 2012. The new ticker symbol mirrors the company’s rebranding from Facebook to Meta, announced in October.
