: G-7 pledges to support Ukraine ‘for as long as it takes’ as Russia launches fresh strikes

Leaders of the Group of Seven nations on Tuesday pledged to support Ukraine “for as long as it takes,” as the country was under a fresh round of strikes from Russia. “We will continue to provide
financial, humanitarian, military, diplomatic and legal support and will stand firmly with Ukraine for as long as it takes,” the leaders said in a joint statement released by the White House after a meeting of the group. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky joined the leaders via video conference and reportedly urged them to respond more harshly to recent attacks by Moscow. Russia on Tuesday launched new strikes across Ukraine, many of which Kyiv said it intercepted, the Wall Street Journal reported.
