Coinbase chief product officer to step down as company reorganizes business

Coinbase Global Inc. disclosed Wednesday that its chief product officer, Surojit Chatterjee, will step down from that position as of Nov. 30, though he will stay in an advisory role at Coinbase at least through Feb. 3, 2023. The change was “mutually agreed” upon by both Chatterjee and the company, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The filing noted that the company’s “product, engineering and design teams are being reorganized within a product group structure under which the leaders of such groups will assume responsibility for Coinbase’s product offerings.” Shares were up 0.3% in after-hours trading Wednesday. The company is due to post third-quarter results following Thursday’s closing bell.
