: Accenture announces AI relationships with Microsoft, Google, Amazon

Accenture PLC ACN said Wednesday it was expanding relationships with Alphabet Inc. GOOGGOOGL, Microsoft Corp. MSFT, and Amazon.com Inc. AMZN following its recent pledge to invest billions in artificial intelligence. The management consultant company said it was extending its strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services to help clients leverage large-language models and generative AI. Accenture also announced a “strategic expansion” of their relationship with Google Cloud, and said it was “expanding” its “decades-long collaboration” with Microsoft through their Avanade joint venture by co-developing “new AI-powered industry and functional solutions to help clients harness generative AI across the enterprise.” Microsoft has invested billions backing OpenAI’s ChatGPT generative AI. Accenture’s announcement comes after last week’s pledge to invest $3 billion in AI over the next three years. Back in March, Accenture announced plans to lay off about 19,000 workers, or 2.5% of its workforce.
