: Biden says U.S. will ‘keep assessing the fallout of this weekend’s events’ in Russia

President Joe Biden on Monday said his administration is evaluating the situation in Russia following a short-lived rebellion there by the mercenary Wagner Group, as well as talking with other countries. “We’re going to keep assessing the fallout of this weekend’s events and the implications for Russia and Ukraine, but it’s still too early to reach a definitive conclusion about where this is going,” Biden said at the start of a White House event focused on internet access. “No matter what comes next, I will keep making sure that our allies and our partners are closely aligned,” the president added.
