: Mallinckrodt delays $200 million opioid-settlement payment by another week

Mallinckrodt PLC MNK disclosed Friday that it has decided to further delay the $200 million opioid-settlement payment by a week. The payment was originally due on June 16, before payment was delayed to June 23, and is now delayed to June 30. The drug maker said it continues to engage in talks with various stakeholders about its capital position and financial obligations, including whether or not it files for bankruptcy. The stock edged up 0.1% in premarket trading, while futures ES00 for the S&P 500 SPX fell 0.7%.
