: Whole Foods distributor United Natural Foods eliminating 150 jobs

United Natural Foods Inc. UNFI, the primary distributor for upscale grocery chain Whole Foods, on Tuesday said it would eliminate roughly 150 jobs as part of an effort to reorganize the company. The company said it would consolidate four operating regions to three — East, Central and West. Executives said the decision would boost profitability, remove layers of administrative management and allow for more effective customer service. Shares were unchanged after hours.
