: Birkenstock owner considers ‘options’ for business, including IPO: report

Private-equity firm L Catterton is considering strategic options for iconic German sandal maker Birkenstock, including a potential initial public offering, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. An IPO could happen this year or next year, Bloomberg quoted the people as saying. The U.S. IPO market has shown signs of a comeback in recent weeks, including the debut of fast-casual restaurant chain Cava Group Inc. CAVA, but the results have been mixed. Teen retailer Claire withdrew its IPO last week.
