: Genius Sports stock jumps after NFL data, sports betting data feed partnership extended through Super Bowl LXII

Shares of Genius Sports Ltd. GENI jumped 3.1% in premarket trading Thursday after the data and sports-betting company announced an agreement to continue to be the National Football League’s (NFL) data and watch and bet distribution partner through the 2027-2028 season. Genius will remain the NFL’s exclusive distributor of official play-by-play statistics in real time and Next Gen Stats (NGS) data, and continue to be the NFL’s official sports betting data feed to media companies and sports-betting operators. “We are thrilled to extend our partnership with the NFL for five further seasons from today, through Super Bowl LXII,” said Genius’ Chief Executive Officer Mark Locke. Genius’ stock has soared 62.8% year to date through Wednesday, while the S&P 500 SPX has advanced 15.8%.
