: GoodRx shares gain on new prescription-drug discount program with CVS

GoodRx GDRX shares gained 3.5% premarket on Wednesday after the drug-savings app provider and CVS Health CVS announced a new program to lower out-of-pocket prescription drug costs for CVS Caremark clients’ members. CVS Caremark eligible members will have automatic access to GoodRx prescription pricing, potentially generating savings on generic medications at the pharmacy counter, the companies said in a release Wednesday. Amounts paid will automatically be applied to plan members’ deductible and out-of-pocket thresholds, the companies said. CVS shares were up 0.2% premarket Wednesday.
