: LinkedIn sheds nearly 200 in Bay Area job cuts: report
Microsoft Corp.’s MSFT LinkedIn laid off nearly 200 workers in the San Francisco Bay Area as part of a larger workforce reduction, according to a published report Tuesday in the San Jose Mercury News. The layoffs reported Tuesday were part of a global announcement of more than 700 cuts in May, a LinkedIn spokesman told MarketWatch. The social-media business site had imposed belt-tightening measures in recent months, including a significant reduction in business travel.
