Target Corp. TGT said Thursday it’s planning a Target Circle Week for back-to-school deals from July 9 to 15, followed by another week for back-to-college deals July 16 to Aug. 26. “Our back-to-school and back-to-college assortment features a broad range of essentials that are priced right for all families,” said Jill Sando, chief merchandising office, in a statement. Students will be offered a 20% discount on their entire shopping trip from July 16 to Aug. 26. The retailer is also planning to expand its Target Circle Teacher Appreciation with a one-time 20% discount on an entire shopping trip, either in store or online, in the same time frame. The company’s Target Circle loyalty program is free to join. The stock has fallen 11% in the year to date, while the S&P 500 SPX has gained 16%.
