: Walmart, Expedia launch travel-benefit program for Walmart+ members
Walmart Inc. WMT and Expedia Group Inc. EXPE announced Wednesday the launch of a travel benefit for Walmart+ members. Starting Wednesday, Walmart+ members who book travel through WalmartPlusTravel.com, which is powered by online travel booker Expedia, can earn credit that can be used on hotels, activities bookings and vacation and car rentals. Expedia’s stock rallied 1.2% in afternoon trading and Walmart shares gained 0.3%, while the S&P 500 SPX slipped 0.2%. Walmart+ is Walmart’s subscription service that costs $12.95 a month, or $98 a year, that includes free shipping for members and savings on gas.
