: Elon Musk’s ‘glass house’ under investigation: WSJ
Federal prosecutors are investigating the use of Tesla Inc. TSLA funds on a “secret” project thought to be a house for Chief Executive Elon Musk, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York has sought information about personal benefits paid to Musk, and how much Tesla has spent on the project, described as a glass structure to be built in the Austin, Texas, area. The Wall Street Journal reported in July that Tesla board members had investigated whether company resources had been misused. Tesla shares fell 0.4% Wednesday, and are up 27% so far this year, which compares with an advance of around 18% for the S&P 500 index SPX.
