: Disney and Charter’s Spectrum have reached a deal in carriage dispute: reports

Walt Disney Co. DIS and Charter Communications Inc. CHTR have reached an agreement that would end their carriage dispute, according to the Wall Street Journal. Disney stations have been dark on Charter’s Spectrum cable service for more than a week, with viewers missing out on U.S. Open and college football coverage. CNBC also reported on the deal, saying that it includes a discounted wholesale price for Disney+ access as well as a marketplace increase for Disney. Charter and Disney didn’t immediately respond to MarketWatch’s request for comment. Disney shares were up 1.4% in morning trading, while Charter shares were up 1.8%.
