: Microsoft’s stock is rising enough to turn Dow futures positive

The surge in Microsoft Corp.’s stock MSFT, in the wake of the software behemoth’s blowout earnings report, was the reason futures YM00 for the Dow Jones Industrial Average ES00 were gaining ground while the broader market was falling. The stock jumped 3.7% toward a three-month high in premarket trading. The implied price gain was adding about 80 points to the Dow’s price, and Dow futures rose 37 points, or 0.1%. Meanwhile, futures ES00 for the S&P 500 SPX declined 0.4% and futures NQ00 for the Nasdaq 100 NDX dropped 0.6%.
