The Fed: Mester backs swift, more aggressive Fed strategy to tame high U.S. inflation

The Federal Reserve should raise interest rates more aggressively than it did in 2017-2018 to stamp out soaring U.S. inflation, the president of the Cleveland Federal Reserve said Thursday.
