Universal Music Group pays undisclosed sum for Neil Diamond catalog

Universal Music Group N.V. said Monday it’ll pay an undisclosed sum to buy Neil Diamond’s song catalog through Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) and also the rights to all recordings from his career, including 110 unreleased tracks, an unreleased album and long-form videos. Diamond has sold more than 130 million albums over the past 50 years and has had more than 70 songs on the Billboard charts.
