: New Twitter CEO wants to create ‘global town square’: report

Read Time:34 Second

New Twitter Chief Executive Linda Yaccarino wants to create a “global town square” as the microblogging site struggles to hold on to existing customers. In a memo to employees Monday, Yaccarino said Twitter’s mission is to become the world’s most accurate real-time information source, according to a Wall Street Journal report. It has become clear that the global town square needs transformation, she wrote, “to drive civilization forward through the unfiltered exchange of information and open dialogue about the things that matter most to us.”
