: Apple stock climbs to record closing high a week after WWDC

Apple Inc. AAPL shares closed up for a third consecutive session on Monday to score a new record high, the week following the tech giant’s WWDC event last week. Apple shares rose 2.8% to close at $183.79, a new all-time closing high, according to Dow Jones data. That surpasses the stock’s previous closing record of $182.01, set on Jan. 3, 2022, according to Dow Jones. Apple shares are up 41.5% year to date, compared with a 13% gain on the S&P 500 index SPX, a 28.6% gain on the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index COMP , and a 2.8% gain on the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA , of which Apple is a component.
