: Ford readies another round of layoffs: WSJ

Ford Motor Co. F is getting ready for another round of layoffs in the coming weeks, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The layoffs are expected to include mostly U.S. salaried workers, and would be one of several rounds at Ford in recent months. The number of people Ford plans to lay off in this latest round couldn’t be learned, the report said. The cuts are expected to affect employees on Ford’s businesses focusing on internal combustion engines as well as EVs and software, the newspaper said. Ford did not immediately return a request for comment, and its shares wavered between gains and losses in the aftermarket after ending the regular trading day up 1.2%.
