: Overstock to rename itself Beyond Inc. from Nov. 6 and switch listing to NYSE under new ticker ‘BYON’

Overstock.com Inc. OSTK, which operates as Bed Bath & Beyond ever since it acquired that bankrupt company’s intellectual property in June, said Tuesday it is changing its corporate name to Beyond Inc., effective Nov. 6. The company said it will also transfer its stock listing to the New York Stock Exchange from Nasdaq and change the ticker to BYON. It will continue to operate its furniture and home furnishings e-commerce business under the Bed Bath & Beyond brand. Overstock’s stock was up 4.5% premarket but has fallen 21% in the year to date, while the S&P 500 SPX has gained 10%.
