: Humana Q3 net income, revenue beats analyst estimate

Humana Inc.’s stock HUM rose 0.3% in premarket trading on Wednesday after the health insurance company’s third-quarter net income and revenue beat analyst estimates. Humana said its third-quarter profit fell to $1.1 billion, or $6.71 a share, from $1.3 billion, or $9.39 a share, in the year-ago quarter. The company’s third-quarter adjusted profit of $7.78 a share beat the FactSet consensus estimate of $7.16 a share. Humana’s third-quarter revenue of $26.42 billion beat the analyst forecast of $25.57 billion. Looking ahead, Humana continues to expect adjusted 2023 net income of at least $28.25 a share versus the analyst consensus estimate of $28.89 a share.
