: U.S. stocks rise ahead of inflation data, Fed meeting 

U.S. stocks traded higher in the final hour of trading on Monday, ahead of the release of key inflation data and the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision later this week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA went up 104 points, or 0.3%, to around 36,356, according to FactSet data. The S&P 500 SPX rose 13.8 points, or 0.3% to about 4,618. The Nasdaq Composite COMP added 14 points, or 0.1%, to 14,419.
