Jan. 6 committee to reschedule Thursday hearing: reports

A House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill insurrection will not hold a hearing this Thursday, reports said Monday. A committee aide told CNN that “we expect that we will hold a hearing next week.” The aide said the delay was to give members and investigators time to process the “new and important information” it has received “on a daily basis.” The panel is scheduled to hold a hearing on Tuesday, which will focus on the plotting and planning of the insurrection by white nationalist groups.
