The culture rich bay area is where Juan Zurita’s, @getithowyouliveit, formed and came to. Freelance digital artist and animator, Juan Zurita has made a name for himself working with famous artists and labels. Within every visual Juan creates, his identity is showcased within ech design. Digital artist at heart, Juan also has an array of other skills such as clothing merch, typography , motion, and 3d design.
Some of the best advice Juan Zurita has given his audience is to, “Never stop creating. If you stop, the improvement stops.” Initially his biggest obstacle was getting exposure. Juan never felt defeated but continued to put himself out there, the visibility of his work led him to work with major labels and music artists such as Empire records, OVO, Wolftyla and so much more. It was challenging to stay motivated throughout the entire process but without his perseverance he would not have made the connections that he did.
Once he made his Instagram in 2019, he began using that platform to publish his illustrative works that have garnered him clients which has grown into 300 clients and is still climbing to this day. From his early days of creating in photoshop, his work has come full circle when he was given the chance for collaboration. He proudly mentions that, “I collaborated with Photoshop twice and that really helped me grow and stay motivated”. This was the big break that he needed to keep him working through all his obstacles.
@_getithowyouliveit is continuously growing and he has generated a presence throughout the music and entertainment industry. Even with his booming success, Juan is optimistic about his future and continued growth. “I see _getithowyouliveit growing big in the future. With the amount of connections I have, I believe I will keep growing and building more relationships with labels, artists, and brands”. He is very humble about his growth and his abilities, yet he is still confident that he can still continue to create a lot of success.
He has worked a lot to get to where he is but he still believes he is just starting out, “I see myself working for a known artist or signed to a label creating content or becoming an Art Director.” Juan’s network continues to grow as he works with big names such as Sony and Ariana Grande’s creative team.
